Private Practice Services

Speak-Easy provides private speech therapy services at the clinic location on Merchants Drive. Speak-Easy is contracted with many private insurance companies and also offers competitive private pay rates.

Services offered at the clinic include, but are not limited to:

  • Accent Reduction: assisting foreign and national dialect speakers modify their accent and improve communication skills.
  • Apraxia Intervention: assisting children to learn motor patterns and sequence speech sounds for successful communication.
  • Articulation and Phonologic Process Intervention: helping children and adults learn proper speech sound production patterns.
  • Auditory Processing Treatment: helping children and adults improve their listening, cognitive, and phonemic awareness skills.
  • Augmentative Communication: programming of dynamic communication devices, creating basic communication boards, and teaching clients to use their AAC for functional communication.
  • Autism and PDD: helping children with autism improve communication and social skills.
  • Developmental Disabilities: helping children and adults with developmental disabilities (e.g., down syndrome, autism, cerebral palsy) maximize their communication, cognitive, social, and swallowing skills.
  • Language Intervention:  improving receptive and expressive language skills in children, adults, and special needs clients.
  • Literacy Intervention: improving reading and writing performance skills in school-aged children; and improving phonological awareness and pre-literacy skills in preschool-aged children.
  • Neurological and Cognitive Therapy: improving communication and cognitive skills after a neurological event (e.g., brain tumor, stroke, car accident).
  • Swallowing Intervention: helping children and adults improve swallowing skills for safety when eating and drinking.
  • Tongue Thrust Therapy: changing the swallow pattern by re-educating the muscles associated with swallowing to improve dental malocclusion.
  • Voice Therapy: remediating vocal nodules, polyps, laryngitis, spasmodic dysphonia, and other voice disorders with a customized voice program.
